The PT333-3B is a 5mm NPN silicon infrared phototransistor designed to detect 940nm infrared light emitted by IR LEDs. It offers high sensitivity, fast response time, and low power consumption, making it ideal for IR sensing, obstacle detection, encoders, optical switches, and automation projects. Unlike a TSOP1838, it is a raw IR phototransistor and does not demodulate 38kHz remote-control signals.

The PT333-3B features a black epoxy package that filters visible light while remaining highly sensitive to infrared radiation around 940nm. Its compact 5mm through-hole package allows easy integration into PCBs and breadboards for industrial, educational, and DIY electronic applications
